Save Me - Future (Album Review)

Well... There is no good way to start this review.

Sadly, this is possibly one of the worst albums I have listened to this year. I debated even doing a review of this album because I had no idea how I would communicate how bad this album is. I feel like I could just title this review "Save Me - Future DO NOT LISTEN" and everyone would understand how bad this is. I'm a fan of Future, I like a majority of his music but WOW this album is awful. It is a 7 track album that should have never been released. This whole album feels like all of the unreleased songs from "HNDRXX" were thrown into a quick money grab album. The album starts off the track "XanaX Damage". This track starts with a distorted Future singing the lyrics "Baby, when the sun is out, it's like I'm not myslef, Xanax doin' damage, make it nice so I can handle you, Baby, when the moon is out, I finally know myself". Which hints at future having some form of mental illness and feeling that the only way he can feel like himself is by doing drugs and having a wild nightlife. This whole track is future coming to the realization and acceptance of his drug use and why he needs to quit doing drugs. The instrumental over this track is good, nothing spectacular, but there was nothing memorable about this track(which is the major theme on this album). The next track "St. Lucia" started off with a great instrumental. When I heard the beat of this track I thought to myself "Oh this could be good" but then I had that thought crushed when Future started rapping/singing. Future delivered the most forgettable lines on this track. I can't even dissect the lyrics that is how forgettable the lyrics are. The only lyric I remember of this track is "Nipsey made it rain outside, had an umbrella in his hands(Rest in peace)". Track 3 "Please Tell Me" this track is the definition of new Future's sound. Its a generic Future song that I could of went without hearing. After listening to these first 3 songs I needed Future to "Please Tell Me" why he made them. I do not even want to continue this review cause the next 4 tracks is pain to my ears. So I'll do a summary of all of them together! The word I would use to describe the next 4 tracks "Shotgun" "Government Official" "Extra" and "Love Thy Enemies". GARBAGE. This album in a whole is awful. I would rather listen to Kid Cudi's "Speedin' Bullet 2 Heaven" for 24 hours straight than to this disgrace of a Future album. The only upside to this album is the mellow instrumentals in each track. I would have liked this album more if it was just instrumentals. I might of been harsh on this album review but I think this album deserved the harshness I gave it
